Joy on the other hand, was terrified of them! (Or even a stick that looked like a snake!).
Our boys used to scare her several times a week with a rubber snake, and would always say..."Mom....You know it isn't real!".
One day, while sitting on our front porch, we spotted a little garter snake eating a frog. Joy decided it was time to face her fears. Joe caught the snake and put it into a little aquarium. We would catch frogs for the snake. Joy was totally mesmerized by him. She eventually got brave enough to hold him...garter snake
After Hurricanes Katrina & Rita hit Louisiana, it seemed that all the frogs disappeared. Joy went to our local pet store to buy a frog, to no avail. While there, Joy noticed a beautiful Red Tail Boa that the pet store owner bought from a family fleeing the storms. It was love at first sight! She rushed home and told Joe..."I HAVE TO HAVE HER!" Joy's Baby...Karita
So here begins our story...since then we've collected many other other boas and a few ball pythons. Joy even took in a Burmese Python that hadn't been taken care of properly. He now has a wonderful new home!
Now that we are both retired, we can devote our full attention to our passion. Our goal is to keep a small collection and breed quality boa morphs to enjoy ourselves and to sell to others.
A special thanks goes to those listed on our links page for the help and encouragement they have given! If we can help you in any way, please contact us!
